Overview
It’s almost a week later and I am still pinching myself. That was one of the best games I have ever seen in my life, and I watched the ending about 15-20 times this week. I should have added that as a question for this week’s survey, how many times did you all rewatch the ending?
I could go on and on about everything that was amazing about that game. Skip that though, I wanted to talk about what you all had to say. I love this team, and I love the participation I receive from you all so thank you!
Satisfaction with the team’s performance
1=Extremely dissatisfied, 5=Extremely satisfied

Average satisfaction rating: 4.57
Last week’s rating: 4.5
Mood meter

“Fired up” continues to be the overarching theme for the mood meter, and it’s easy to see why! That was one of the most amazing and most memorable games in my lifetime. People were equally hopeful and proud this week. One fan felt fired up AND flabbergasted, and another fan felt confused. Part of me was confused too, as to how we pulled that off. Then again, that’s what this team has been doing all season! Cardiac Bears!
Confidence tracker (Coach & QB)
Fans were asked to rate the confidence they had in both the coach and QB, on a scale from 1-5 (with 5 being extremely confident).

Average confidence rating of Ben Johnson: 4.86
Last week’s rating: 4.86

Average confidence rating of Caleb Williams: 4.66
Last week’s rating: 4.5
Ben Johnson’s confidence rating was exactly the same as last week, and extremely high at that! Caleb Williams’ confidence rating was the highest it has been this year at 4.66 (out of five)! Although the offense did not play a consistent game, those drives in the final few minutes of the game displayed Caleb’s clutch gene once again. And let’s be real, that walk off touchdown was one of the best throws of Caleb’s career when also considering the moment.
Team trend

Everyone agrees after this one; this team is trending up! After a walk-off, absolutely surreal victory over the packers, I think fans feel like we got over a hurdle of sorts. Now, the game was far from perfect, and we almost let Malik Willis beat us at home. Still, this team finds a way to win, and I think that consistency will continue to have to grow in the meantime.
Favorite (or not so favorite) moment of the game!
I was pleasantly surprised to see how the love was spread to different moments throughout this amazing game! There were a few moments that were mentioned the most. The most mentioned moment was the walk off touchdown of course, one of the most amazing moments of my bears fandom.
The second most cited moment was the onside kick recovery, and I really loved that moment because of not only the small odds of recovering that, but also because of just how much my confidence swung after that play. It is such a weird feeling that has developed this season, where I trust a Bears offense to deliver in the most important moments.
Another play that got several mentions was the Jahdae Walker touchdown! What a great moment for that man, he deserved it all! And such great poise from Caleb on that throw too! Below are some quotes citing some of these moments as well as others.
- “DJ’s overtime touchdown. I don’t think i’ve ever been so unbelievably hyped about one play in my life”
- “The fumble in 4th that got us the ball back”
- “The first kickoff when they dog piled up”
- “Blackwell. NONE of this happens without his recovery”
- “Caleb to DJ Moore and also Caleb running around the stadium to connect with the fans”
I wanted to include these quotes because these were moments that I also thought deserved mention! The opening play of the game with D’Marco Jackson crowd surfing was insane and set the tone, although it could have been done without a penalty! Blackwell deserved a shoutout too, he has been an amazing force on this team this year, directly leading to wins. He should be a pro-bowler this year! Lastly, that moment with Caleb and the fans shows how much he embraces this role. That was just awesome.
Which player stood out the most?!
| Which player stood out? | Votes for each player |
| DJ Moore | 9 |
| Caleb Williams | 7 |
| Jahdae Walker | 2 |
| Wide receivers | 1 |
| Cairo Santos | 1 |
| Grand Total | 20 |
This week’s voting for the player that stood out the most had less variety than most weeks, but for understandable reasons. Both Caleb and DJ had great games and great moments, with the walk off being one that will stick with you. I still don’t know which is better, the throw or the catch. I guess I would lean throw because of the wind and how perfectly it was dropped in the bucket. But that catch was also insane, with Nixon getting there a little early in my opinion, and it was also satisfying for him to get that catch over Nixon.
Jahdae did deserve a shoutout for sure, way to step up and make the most of your moment man. And last, but certainly not least, we cannot forget to mention Cairo and I’m glad someone did! To hit those kicks in that environment, we don’t win that without him. Then you add in the onside kick, just a great game by Cairo.
Temperature check on the season
Asked to describe their feelings about the season, fans continue to feel positive. How could you not after that game? Here are some notable quotes among many:
- “I didn’t see this happening in my wildest dreams”
- “Against the odds, the Bears keep winning and bringing excitement and joy to Chicago”
- “This year has been a wild ride of joy”
- “I’m so proud of the team and the coach, and I hope they feel the fans’ appreciation for their hard work, dedication, and spirit”
What do you want to tell the Bears?
Fans were asked to share a message to anyone associated with the Bears or the team itself. Below are some responses this week:
- “Keep up the momentum and stop talking about moving the team to Indiana. It’s insulting to all of Chicago”
- “ben johnson- no need to get cute in the red zone, run it up the middle and shove it down their throats. keep improving your coaching, i believe in you”
- “Caleb — you know you can win, but why do you string us out like this”?
- “Finally, you started paying coaches. Do what you can to stay in Chicago!”
- “DJ, the organization has not always given you your best shot to shine. But I’ve always seen you, and I am SO FREAKING THRILLED and THANKFUL for your patience and talent. P.S. Bro I thought you were hurt and when everyone was cheering I was screaming “IS HE OKAY?!” Hahaha. Good times”
- “Utilize Cole Kmet more often”
Super bowl dreams?
I added a new question for this week and wanted to ask fans if they thought it was in the realm of possibilities that the Bears can win a super bowl. I was shocked by the percentage of people who felt positively about that.

People are believing man! If I had been asking this question from mid-season on, it would be crazy to see how much this number would have changed. A team of destiny!
Final note
Again, a game for the ages. In a season filled with so much suspense and thrill, this one has topped them all. Packers, to keep the division lead, to get our get back, walk off touchdown, and more. It doesn’t get much better than that.
I don’t have many more words. This team is one of destiny it feels like. I love this team right now.
Bear Down!
